Galleron Red Oaked blend
An eclectic blend of Fetească Neagră - 40% from the 2021 harvest (18 months in oak barrels), 50% from the 2022 harvest (12 months in oak barrels), and 10% from the 2024 harvest (stainless steel) - originating from the Dealu Mare region (Săhăteni commune, Buzău County). A massive, voluptuous, and well-integrated wine, crafted in an explosive, New World style, with juicy dark fruits, spicy spices, and a significant oak influence. Dark purplish-red color and an opulent nose with blackcurrants, vanilla, and mineral notes of forest black truffles. Compact body, firm tannins, lively acidity, and well-marked alcohol (14.5%). Full-bodied taste with black cherries, plums, and overripe sour cherries, complemented by bitter chocolate, cinnamon, and tobacco. Long aftertaste, with impressions of candied dark fruits, green pepper, and mineral hints.
